    Flamenco Express returns to Britain with a new cargo of raw, heart-wrenching flamenco with ‘sizzling soloist’ La Joaquina, guitar virtuoso Chris Clavo, the massive vocal presence of Antonio El Pola, and tonight, another trademark Flamenco Express British Star Premiere in the shape of award-winning choreographer and dancer Kuky Santiago.

    Kuky began dancing at 3 years old with his father Tony Santiago, and his uncle Leo Molina. By the age of six he had already performed at the Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels. Further study took him to Sevilla to study with the Farruco family and with Juan de los Reyes.
    His professional career has taken him to perform on stages in Holland, France, Germany and England.
    Kuky has won first prizes in dance competitions in Cádiz and Amberes and he has participate in many artistic projects showing his art and his dancing all over the world.

    Since he arrived in Cádiz at the age of 20 he has presented regular performances and established himself as one of the top dancers in Cádiz.

    Kuky has been part of “Toma Castaña”, as well in the show “Maera Vieja” with which he travelled to Costa Rica, he has also participated in the Cosquín festival with Joaquín Linera´s “El niño de la Leo” company and in the World Music festival of Gwangju and Seul (South Korea) among others.
    Kuky has danced with artists as Luis de la Carrasca, David Palomar, Chiquetete, Arcangel, Mariana Cornejo and “Cascarilla de Cádiz”.

     
    El Pola
    Known for over twenty years as a formidably talented singer dedicated to the purest flamenco, Antonio El Pola has grown to fill the greatest stages, performing with many legends of the art, such as La Chana, Paco de Lucia, Juan El Camas, Concha Vargas, Antonio Moya and Juan Castor. A true custodian of the flamenco history.
